Meet your ride captain at Pansodan Jetty this morning and go through your riding gear and check the bike before we roll down to ferry and cross river to Dala.
Your ride captain will run through some road safety essentials before we ride on main road towards Twante a good half an hour.
We’ll make a photo stop at a snake pagoda and say hello to resident Burmese pythons. From here begins the more forested part of the day. Your captain will show you hidden concrete tracks, dirt roads and single track trails connecting farms and plantations to villages.
These trails are great year round. The terrain is pretty flat so there are not many technical or rocky parts making the bamboo forest a great playground for practicing your dirt biking skills. The biggest challenge is driving on muddy tracks and keeping your engine on and bike up. When it rains some of the paths turn to small streams and get muddy, but never very deep. We have all made it through so far and it is part of the fun!
Depending on the route your ride captain chooses there may be couple small uphills where team work might be needed to push bikes up short part if too slippery to ride.
We’ll have a lunch break after couple hours shred in the woods and another afternoon session with bit more challenge. Late afternoon we will emerge out of the “bush” with a grin and ride back to Dala and cross with ferry back to Yangon.
ETA back in Yangon is between 16:00-17:00.
